Never Mind The Bike Shops

Who We Are + What We Do

Never Mind The Bike Shops – Our Story. Our Mission. Your Community.

Never Mind The Bike Shops is THE Manchester-founded, Manchester-owned + Manchester-run bicycle and e-bike specialist offering expert repairs and quality sales. We began as a mobile repair business with an eBay shop in Stockport in 2013. Our focus was on fixing bikes properly and selling kit that not only works but works for years to come. To us cycling is so much more than just a sport, and we have always been so much more than a normal bike shop.

Over the last decade, we’ve grown steadily into three full-service bike shops and a show room in Central Manchester and Stockport, while still offering our mobile bike repair service across the city region. Community is important to us and we are involved in lots of ways, including daily, hands on work by educating the next generation of bike mechanics and fanatics at Broadstones School.

We are run locally and staffed locally. The owner doesn’t even own a football, let alone a football club! No offshore accounts or corporatism, the people on the shop floor are the people making the decisions

Three Bike Shops of full Bikes, Brands, and E-Bike Expertise

Across our workshops and operations, we handle over 5,000 bikes each year.

We have been Manchester’s exclusive Orro Bikes dealer since 2020 and as the city’s official Cube Bikes dealer we have a hell of a lot of bikes! From stunningly fast and light carbon road to Titanium gravel bikes to Downhill Cube E-MTB’s and Bosch based commuter bikes, both brand new and second hand at prices from to suit any budget.

We have been a Fulcrum Wheels Service Centre since 2019, supporting and servicing Fulcrum wheels — we still think these European wheels are peerless both functionally and aesthetically.

Community + Education

Cycling only grows when people are supported and given access and community involvement is central to what we do.

We work with Transport for Greater Manchester, Manchester City Council, Stockport Council and Cycling UK on cycling events, education, and active-travel initiatives.

A key part of this work is our partnership with Broadstones School. Through this project, young people refurbish donated bikes as part of an alternative education pathway. These Broadstone Community Bikes are then made available at reduced prices through our Manchester and Stockport shops.

More detail on our wider education and outreach work and on how to book us is available on our Bike Doctor Education, Training & Events
